Scott Arthur

Professor Scott Arthur was first elected as a Councillor on the 4th of May 2017, but has been active in the Colinton/Fairmilehead Ward since moving there in 2000. In the Council he is a key member of the Transport & Environment Committee, the Regulatory and Licensing Sub-Committee and the South West Locality Committee.

His work on the Transport & Environment Committee builds on his experience as a Civil Engineer where he is a recognised international expert in the fields of flood risk management and urban drainage. 

Outside his work as a Councillor and Academic, Professor Arthur is a member of Fairmilehead Parish Church, active in the University & College Union, a keen cyclist (and Spokes member) and regularly volunteers at Edinburgh Parkrun (100 Club member).
