Karen Keil

  Karen was born and raised in Edinburgh, and graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BD in 1982.  She worked for the Church of Scotland Counselling Service at Simpson House in Queen Street as an administrator and counsellor. Subsequently, Karen worked for development charity Christian Aid for nearly 20 years.  Karen has been chairperson of the Clermiston and Drumbrae Gala for the past 14 years, and is currently Vice Chair of both Drumbrae Community Council and the Munro Centre Management Committee. Karen had been married to Church of Scotland minister Rev. Alistair Keil, parish minister in Clermiston, since 1989.
