Working hard in Wardie Bay

On Saturday, councillors Vick Redpath and Cammy Day donned waterproof footwear and protective gloves and joined members and supporters of the Wardie Bay Residents Association to assist with the annual clean-up on the beach.

There were about two dozen volunteers and several dogs on the beach during the time they were there and more people came and went as the afternoon carried on.

The weather was pretty kind to those slaving away to make the beach more attractive and safer for all to enjoy. People were still joining in when Cammy and Vicki had to make their apologies and, rubbing their sore backs, left to do a stint at the Leith Gala.
